48 Hours in San Sebastián del Oeste
San Sebastián del Oeste is one of Jalisco's Pueblos Mágicos, in the Sierra Occidental, less than two hours from Puerto Vallarta. Many visitors only know it as a day trip; this guide is for those who want to stay overnight and get to know it at a relaxed pace.
Getting There
From Puerto Vallarta, San Sebastián del Oeste is about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours away by car, via federal highway 544 towards Mascota. From Guadalajara, the drive is longer, via the road to Talpa/Mascota. We recommend driving during daylight, as the mountain road has curves.
